These Willow Whips come in 7’ lengths and are very easy to plant: dig a small 12” deep hole, put the butt end of the willow in the hole, pack dirt around it, and water it. (see photo below)

Soon thereafter, the “whip” starts developing branches and leaves, and the plant comes to life!!

These are great for planting in rows to make a “fence,” or in circles to make a dome (after you tie the tops together), or in two parallel rows to make a tunnel (again, after you tie the tops together).

To make a 4’ diameter dome, you’ll need between 30 and 40 “whips.”

These are ONLY AVAILABLE MARCH 1 TO MID APRIL, and they need to be ordered several months ahead of time, so please plan accordingly.

We have recently learned that some willow farms have a fall cutting as well, so let us know what you have in mind.
